Itinerary
Our day starts off very early as we will be picking you up from your Cusco accommodation or pre-arranged meeting point from at approx..4:00hrs.
We then begin a 3-hour drive through the South Valley arriving at the Community of “Hanchipacha”, where we stop for our local Peruvian Style Breakfast. After that, we are going to drive 20 minutes more to the Community of “Quesiuno” (4,326 mosl / 14,189 ft.)
We are finally starting off with walking uphill 3 hours approx. for the first stretch you tend to walk on a fairly flat surface gradually rising as you approach the Rainbow Mountain range.
We will pass through a green valley and see a snow-capped peak at the distance. Along the way, you get to see the hills, Alpacas, Llamas, several red colored mountains and traditional local houses.
When we finally reach the Rainbow Mountain range (5,200 mosl / 17060 ft.), you will get to enjoy a 360-degree view of outstandingly beautiful landscape. We will spend approximately 30 minutes taking its beauty yet it's all depending on weather conditions.
On our way back down to the trailhead for approx. 2 hours to “Quesiuno Community” where we will take our transportation to back to “Hanchipacha” to take a lunch buffet in a traditional house then make the 3-hour drive back to the City of Cusco. Arriving at around 6:00hrs at “Regocijo Square” very near the Main Square.
